French gastronomy - French Food

French gastronomy is known worldwide for its quality and variety. The food, wine, spices and a long culinary tradition combine forces to result in one of the more elaborate and delicious cuisines of the world.

As far as French gastronomy is concerned we can find two types of cuisine: the classic and the so-called "female". The classic cuisine is the most aristocratic and the most elaborate. This type of cooking ingredients always uses extravagant and difficult to find and is representing France around the world. THE kitchen called "women" is a macho name to simply speak of the traditional food of the French. This type of cooking is related to the humblest dishes but not least tasty that traditionally have been prepared in the houses of the French people.

Each region of France has a particular type of cuisine and identifying the region. What attracts much attention is that while in Paris the food is delicious, this city does not have a type of food itself but have learned to play the delight of all regions of the country.

Norman cuisine is based in the creamy consistency of their dishes. Well, never missing ingredients are butter and cream, resulting in dishes soft on the palate. Like any coastal region, in Normandy becomes much use to prepare their seafood dishes. However, the real hallmark of the northern region of France are the cheeses: anyone who makes tourism in France can pass through without testing its fascinating Normandy cheeses.

In Burgundy wine will be one of your meals. In this region there are French wines of higher quality and is an excellent choice for culinary tourism in France. Clearly, the food of Burgundy does not stay back so that a combination of wine and dishes you create unique experiences.

If you are a lover of fancy dishes, Corsica is your site. There you can enjoy not only smoked pork, trout, pâté of Mirlos, and so on. but you'll find or single dish: eels.

Lyon is the gastronomic city par excellence. The restaurants of Lyon enjoyed international fame and prestige for its exquisite food and its amazing presentations. However, if you travel to Lyon with intent to try some of the most delicious dishes that there should be directed to Bouchons. The Bouchons are not large but modest restaurants taverns where homemade food is the attraction of people engaged in tourism in France and who travel from around the globe to test the delight of the Bouchons.

And we came to wine ... Who has not dreamed of taking some time with a French wine in front of the Eiffel Tower? French wines are the best in the world and have a millenary tradition that supports. But it is clearly not being French, a wine is good. For example, after French wines, Argentine wines are considered the best in the world so take a good Argentine wine is much better than taking a regular French wine. That's why it's important to know the quality of French wine you're ordering. You can see that the labels of wines clarify what quality of wine is concerned. The initials AC (Appelation d'Source Contrôlée or designation of origin, in Spanish) is placed on higher quality wines, which have had a rigorous selection of grapes and a controlled process of production. The acronym VDQS (Vin delimited Quatilté Supérieure) are of inferior quality wines that are to receive contest to reach the classification AC.
